Unified Guest Data Platforms

Square and OpenTable Has Connected Reservations With Guest Data

Square has expanded its partnership with OpenTable, bringing reservations, payments and guest data together into one unified view for restaurant operators. The integration connects OpenTable's guest booking behaviors and dining preferences with Square's transaction data, letting operators link reservations directly to revenue and make more informed decisions about loyalty and marketing.

Building on the companies' point-of-sale relationship since 2022, the integration creates unified guest profiles combining reservation history, dining preferences and spend data, helping restaurants recognize returning diners and measure the lifetime value of every booking. The partnership currently serves restaurants across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, Ireland and France.

This integration shows how connecting previously siloed reservation and payment systems can turn fragmented guest data into a genuine competitive advantage for operators.
