My first question is why would anyone who can afford one actually use this folding, gold-plated Brompton bicycle? I'd be taking a limo. Nonetheless, such a convertible bike does exist, and it's coated in a luxurious 24-carat gold.
Originally given as a prize at the UK Environmental Transport Association, this gold-plated Brompton bike is now being sold on eBay for the asking price of £2,000. It is a 2009 model SL2 with only 250 meters of mileage on it. I must say I'm not surprised...I'd keep that gem folded up and locked away.
