This new Giant Eagle Market District grocery store location is being opened by the brand as its first zero-waste establishment that was built especially with sustainability in the spotlight.

The grocery store features LEED certification for the building and will prioritize partnerships with organizations like the Gleaners' Fresh Food Rescue program and Denali Organic Recycling. This will see the location exceed the 90% waste diversion standard, while still being a one-stop shop for community residents to visit on a regular basis.

Market District Senior Director Paul Abbott spoke on the new Giant Eagle Market District grocery store saying, "We've curated a shopping experience to meet the needs of the Westfield area, celebrating everyday grocery essentials alongside local treasures from Indiana's own artisans and chef-designed prepared offerings that make mealtime easier than ever, all brought to life with a focus on quality and value.”
