Giant Food debuted two new fully-electric vans as part of its Giant Delivers delivery brand. The vans mark the continuation of Giant Food's commitment to eco-friendly business operations and sustainable practices. Giant Foods stated that these two vans will "kick off the transition to all-electric delivery" for the company at large.
The Giant Delivers food delivery trucks cover up to 105 miles of range per charge, meaning they can complete several trips in a day before needing to charge overnight. On top of this, the electric vans have grocery storage solutions that allow them to store food in a chilled environment during delivery. The vehicles themselves were manufactured by Motiv Power Systems, as the company specializes in electric trucks and busses for multi-purpose operations.
