The Garmin Varia RearVue 820 Supports Safety Amidst Cars

The Garmin Varia RearVue 820 bike radar and brake light is a multifunctional piece of safety equipment for cyclists that will provide peace of mind when commuting on roadways with vehicle traffic. The device integrates advanced vehicle tracking that will detect vehicles surrounding the rider and rate their threat level to gauge whether more evasive action might be needed. The device is rated to detect vehicles more than 175 meters away and will offer a wider range of monitoring to keep an eye on multiple lanes of traffic.

The Garmin Varia RearVue 820 bike radar and brake light will relay updates to the rider via Garmin smartwatches, Edge head unit or audibly through the Varia app. The light functionality is reported to be the brand's brightest yet to support visibility up to two kilometers away.
