The Forever 21 NBA collection was released last week, introducing some seriously sporty, but feminine takes on some of the team uniforms from the league. The collaboration from Forever 21 and the NBA includes items like mesh shorts, T-shirt dresses and bathing suits bearing the names of seven teams like the L.A. Lakers, the New York Knicks, the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat.

The collection of jerseys itself is modern, but the numbers on them are nostalgia-inducing. For example, the number 91 shows off Dennis Rodman instead of Derrick Rose, a much more current star on the Bulls’ team. The reasoning these faux vintage jerseys may have been introduced could be attributed to Miley Cyrus and the “23” jersey worn in the music video of the same name, a tribute to Michael Jordan.
