The #FlipTheScriptCanada Campaign Makes It Easy for Youths to Reach their MPP

To make it easier for Gen Z and Millennial consumers to hold their elected officials accountable, the On Canada Project recently debuted the #FlipTheScriptCanada campaign. These demographics, whose voices and concerns are often underrepresented by politicians, can now easily reach out to their MPP via emails, calls, and social media posts.

Samanta Krishnapillai, Founder and Executive Director of the On Canada Project, explains, “We, along with our community of 15K Millennials and Gen Z, are frustrated and exhausted by the Government of Ontario’s pandemic response. Our elected officials keep telling us to do more to curb the spread, but they haven’t used every tool at their disposal to protect all of us,” She added, “This campaign mobilizes young Canadians to champion change in an accessible way, and asks officials to do what we’ve elected them to do: listen to the experts and represent all of us.”

The #FlipTheScriptCanada campaign offers resources individuals can use to engage with their MPPs, including customizable email templates and more. The brand hopes the initiative will help empower and engage young Canadians to remain informed and be the champions of change.
