Ali Charisma’s fish scale-inspired dresses caught the attention of many spectators at the Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2009. The black gowns are covered in shiny discs, similar to oversized sequins. These circles vary in size and overlap one another to create the amazing scale-like effect.
Charisma, from Indonesia, has employed the treatment on mini dresses, off the shoulder numbers and floor length gowns.
The designer also revealed some other intricately designed fashions in this collection dripping with fringe, feathers and fabric rope details.
