Maria Rosenblatt creates and takes these glorious images of fancy animals in a collection titled, 'Portraits of the Soul.' Not just limited to cats and dogs, there are even noble horses in these photographs.

The images showcase simple homemade props that take the creatures from household pets to animal royalty. The props range from headpieces made of feathers, to 1800s frilled collars to heirloom-like bejeweled necklaces. There are even capes and floral bow ties involved, giving the creatures a more mature fashion sense than their owners.

The creative photographer aims to put the fancy animals in an aristocratic light, humorously showing off how adorable the pets are. Most of the animals were adopted from shelters, as Maria uses this creative project to raise awareness about animals that still need a home.
