The Fallen Magazine Spring 2012 Vilde Gotschalksen photoshoot echos the attitude and general demeanor that best characterizes the 1990s. The Norwegian model is captured here in the outdoors, showcasing the beauty of wide tree stumps and green leaves.
This retro editorial was directed by photographer Julie Pike. Here Pike has taken snapshots of Gotschalksen in the classic 90s combination of a red flannel shirt with a pair of beat up converse. And while a grungy vibe is given off by these ensembles, dainty undertones are still present, in part due to a see-through snakeskin blouse and lace knee-highs. The blurred finish that the images feature adds another dimension to the production, displaying hints of the ethereal. This unusual mixture works well here, bringing forth a new approach to the decade-specific style.
