Export-Exclusive Automatic Watches

Citizen Brings Its Kei Line to Europe With a Green Dial

Citizen brought its 'Kei' automatic watches beyond Japan, with export models listed in Europe, including a green dial absent from the domestic line and lower pricing. The range offers buyers outside Japan a more affordable entry into the same compact automatic format, with a pink 'Kei Limited Edition' also listed.

A 38 mm case and 60-hour power reserve keep the watches small on the wrist while letting owners leave one off for a weekend without it stopping. Export pieces replace the domestic "Made in Japan" wording with "Japan Movt," marking a regional split without changing daily use.

Citizen shows how pricing at 329 euros in Spain, about 23% below the Japanese steel models, can make the export Kei a stronger value play for buyers who care more about the movement and proportions than caseback text, giving Citizen room to expand overseas without redesigning the platform.
