Multilingual Design Fonts

Canva and Monotype Expand Fonts Across Languages

Canva is expanding multilingual design fonts through its partnership with Monotype, adding more than 1,000 font styles for creators working across languages and writing systems. The expansion brings Canva’s collection of Monotype and foundry partner styles to more than 3,000, with substantial additions for Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Khmer, Lao, Thai and Vietnamese. Hindi gains 298 styles, while Bengali receives 237 and Vietnamese-supporting families gain 249. The collection spans serif, sans serif, display, script and text designs, giving users greater stylistic choice beyond basic language compatibility.

For Canva, broader typography supports its growth as a global visual communication platform as users create content for different cultures and markets. Canva users translated more than 17 million designs in 2025, demonstrating demand for multilingual creation tools. Expanding professional-quality font choices can help Canva serve international creators and brands while strengthening Monotype’s reach through a widely used design ecosystem.
