El Burro is hopping on the #foodporn wave by allowing their restaurant visitors the perfect station to take professional style Instagram photos of their food. Wi-Fi network MWEB has set up a portable lighting station in the restaurant that can be adjusted to get the best photo possible for the #dinnercam campaign.
It seems that taking photos of well-prepared meals is becoming more important than eating the meals themselves. At El Burro, visitors can not only get a digital copy of their food by using the portable studio, but they can also get a physical copy of their image by uploading the food to Instagram and hashtagging it #dinnercam.
This whole movement is merging dining out with technology and social media, making for a much more fun and interactive experience.
