The new feature DuckAssist was made available by DuckDuckGo. It leverages ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) tool, to provide users with prompt and accurate responses to their search queries. Users don't have to speak to DuckAssist because it isn't a chatbot. Instead, when it detects a question it can answer, it displays a pre-written response to consumers.
Currently in beta, the ChatGPT-powered utility is accessible via the DuckDuckGo app and browser extension. The information is taken from sources like Wikipedia and displayed in a manner resembling typical search results. This AI-powered search feature will benefit queries with clear, factual answers, such as "What is a search engine index?" and other similar questions.
DuckDuckGo’s browser offers one-click data cleaning, automated pop-up blocking, and the option to block any online element that collects user data.
