SimpliSafe is putting a fresh new spin on the classic holiday sweater with a social distancing sweater design that helps people to define their personal bubbles of space. The home security brand's holiday sweater was created to offer a reminder of this year's unusual circumstances, notably that "the holidays are happier six feet apart this year."
The SimpliSafe Social Distancing Sweater, inspired by 2020's challenges, has a sensor that lets others know when they are too close. The tech-enbaled sweater is a prototype design and several of them are being given away for the holidays. There are also versions of the sweater, without the electronics and sensors, that can be purchased online, plus there's the opportunity for people to turn the sweater into an activity by tinkering with technology on their own with the instructions provided on the microsite.
