Haute Mid-Motion Editorials

The Dior Magazine 6 Stella Tennant Photoshoot Features Movement

The Dior Magazine 6 editorial featuring model Stella Tennant showcases the often forgotten beauty of motion. Instead being frozen in a particular position or pose, Tennant is captured in mid-motion by photographer Willy Vanderperre.

Vanderperre used a black and white filter to bring the motions of Tennant further to life. The offbeat nature of the images was added to by the outfit pairings of stylist Olivier Rizzo.

In each picture, Rizzo mixed elegant ball gowns, jumpsuits and haute cocktail dresses with studded running shoes. He thus made a rather convincing case for the merger of couture with athletic apparel, a path that is both difficult yet rewarding to go down. Rizzo pulled off the feat with what appears to be much ease.
