Sulwhasoo Debuts Ginseng Mansion Pop-Up

Sulwhasoo opened the Ginseng Mansion pop-up in Shanghai, a three-and-a-half-storey art and retail space featuring 60 years of the brand’s ginseng research embedded throughout. The installation mixes product presentation with immersive displays and on-site skincare consultations to foreground the plant’s role in Sulwhasoo formulations.

Located at No. 1 Xintiandi North Block, the pop-up stages contemporary art, traditional craft demonstrations and hands-on product discovery across multiple floors. It traces the brand’s ginseng timeline from the original ABC Ginseng Cream from 1966 through six generational formulations and introduces a year-round Sulwhasoo Artisan Club collaboration program for China. The activation runs from August 29 to September 13.

For visitors this offers a layered experience of education, ritual and sensory retail, letting guests sample products and learn about ingredient heritage. The project reinforces Sulwhasoo’s luxury positioning by tying scientific R&D to cultural storytelling in a flagship-format activation.
