Casio’s watch brand G-Shock has released a Virtual Rainbow series of cyberpunk-inspired rainbow-colored watches as a tribute to gaming culture and e-sports. The Virtual Rainbow series consists of G-Shock’s DW-6900RGB, GA-100RGB, GA-700RGB, and GA-2100RGB models. In addition, the rainbow colors replicates the decorative lighting that is often seen in cooling fans, keyboards, headphones, and others.
The design of the series is inspired by a futuristic cyberpunk theme that is often used in modern games. The watches used a glossy black resin and iridescent tones to display a futuristic aesthetic with a hypnotic illumination covering the face and hands of the watches. The DW-6900 model has a rounded face and triple graph dial display. With the GA-100RGB, both models showcase a graduated rainbow deposition at the face of the watch with a built-in Afterglow backlighting. The GA-700RGB and GA-2100RGB-1A have neon green hands and purple, blue, and red accents throughout the face as well as a Super Illuminator LED. The series is currently available for purchase.
