AMI Will Supply a Critical Software Component to Fujitsu®

AMI, a provider of foundational computing software known as firmware, has been chosen by Fujitsu to supply a critical software component for the company's forthcoming FUJITSU-MONAKA processor. This new central processing unit is based on the Arm architecture and is being developed with a primary focus on achieving a high level of computational performance while maintaining energy efficiency.

The collaboration between AMI and Fujitsu aims to create a platform intended for demanding tasks such as artificial intelligence and high-performance computing within data centers. Fujitsu has indicated that a key objective for the processor is to deliver superior power efficiency compared to existing alternatives, alongside robust security features. The project has received partial funding from a Japanese governmental organization dedicated to energy and industrial technology development.
