Photographing Skirts as Flowers

Crinoline Flowers by Daryl Banks

I love creative fun photography that is based on a simple idea. This Crinoline Flowers set by Toronto-based photographer Daryl Banks is a great example of such photography.

The art direction behind this project is pretty simple: create colorful flowers with ruffled skirts and female legs.

However, with his excellent execution, the result is eye catching, flirtatious, and purely fun art.

Implications - I bet most guys don't really think of flowers when the underside of skirts come up, but these images just might change that. With bright-colored skirts popping off of a black background, these images really do look like weird flowers blooming in an empty field. It's a little whimsical, like something out of Alice in Wonderland.
