The Computer 2 Case with DIY Style Offered Free in Limited Stock

Swedish design innovator Teenage Engineering has unveiled the Computer 2, a minimalist PC case made from one sheet of semi transparent plastic, offered for free excluding shipping. Available as part of the Flipped Out ’25 campaign, this DIY chassis supports a mini ITX motherboard, SFX power supply, and a dual slot graphics card up to 180 mm, all assembled tool free with living hinges, snap hooks, and a carrying handle. The bold move to strip back materials and cost led to an instant sell out, although customers can still register for restock notifications.

Following the earlier Computer 1, a flat pack aluminum case released in 2021 for 99 to 149 dollars, this project continues Teenage Engineering’s playful, design first ethos. With its transparent build and unorthodox layout that places the GPU above the motherboard, this case is more statement piece than performance workhorse. A downloadable 18 step assembly guide encourages hands on building, reinforcing the brand’s indie, experimental spirit.
