Compal Electronics has introduced the Infinite Laptop, a concept device featuring a horizontally expandable display. This innovative design allows the screen to extend from a standard 14-inch size to an 18-inch ultra-wide workspace, utilizing rollable OLED technology. Unlike other expandable display concepts that focus on vertical extension, the Infinite Laptop's horizontal expansion aims to enhance productivity for multitasking professionals and content creators. The screen extends symmetrically from both sides, maintaining structural balance and durability. Additionally, the laptop includes LED arrays on the lid, which can display notifications such as emails or system alerts, providing quick updates without opening the device.

As an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM), Compal primarily develops prototypes for other brands, meaning the Infinite Laptop may serve as a reference design for companies like Dell, HP, or Lenovo.
