The comic Converse is no new concept as the company has been harnessing the aesthetic of superheroes and graphic novels to delight its consumer base. The latest launch by the iconic footwear brand, however, presents a similar aesthetic but with more concrete motivation.
This range of comic Converse high- and low-tops pay tribute to Warner Bros.' Batman, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary. As a result, the sneaker company decided to be as authentic as possible, hence, the collection is essentially "a deep-dive into the DC archive," pulling visual content from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. Thus, the comic Converse rely on a strong pop art aesthetic that will surely capture the attention of fans young and old alike.
