The annual Collars & Coats Gala Ball is set to take place this November at the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. The venue has long been a safe haven for animals, taking in abandoned pets in need of shelter and food. The event adds a couture side to the charitable business.
The UK-based supermodel David Gandy will serve as the Battersea Ambassador. His promotion of the event has been essential, and is moreover fitting with the big names that will headline the Collars & Coats Gala Ball.
Designer Giles Deacon, Henry Holland, Julien Macdonald, Stella McCartney, Mulberry and Gareth Pugh will all be participating in the couture dog auction. Proceeds from the miniature jackets and booties will be donated to the Battersea organization, combining canine fashion with philanthropy.
