A new platform called 'CodeFights' hosts coding battles where the winners are rewarded with positions at top tech companies like Uber, Asana and Dropbox. With coding skills in high demand, this kind of platform give young coders a chance to advance their career in the tech industry.
To sign up for the coding battles, all a user must do is make a CodeFights account. They will then have access to the forum, which lists upcoming tournaments, challenges and practice rounds against bots that represent the kind of challenges tech companies face each day. Those who choose to enter the tournaments will have the opportunity to compete against other members and rank up points along the way. Point are awarded based on how quickly a coder completes a challenge with an added emphasis on accuracy. Companies then look at how users perform in the tournaments, challenges and against the bots to see if they fulfill the criteria for a specific position.
The platform provides a unique way for talented young coders to flex their skills and earn a position with some of the leading tech companies.
