Robot-Staffed Hospitals

CloudMinds Deploys 12 Sets of Robot to Help a Hospital in Wuhan

Amid the COVID-19 health crisis, technology presents itself as a means for anxiety-alleviation in dealing with the situation and a great example comes from CloudMinds. In an action that is in favor of public interest, the AI tech company has donated 12 sets of robots--"5G-powered androids," to be exact--to the Wuchang field hospital in Wuhan.

CloudMinds deploys this technology in order to take off the pressure of medical staff and limit their exposure to the virus. The robots will be tasked with taking care of patients who remain quarantine. This includes things like delivering meals, taking temperatures, and disinfecting the facilities. Doctors, on the other hand, will be able to monitor their patients remotely. The 5G network enables this to be done through live updates on the condition and efficient communication throughout the hospital.
