BT Joins Anthropic Project Glasswing Using Claude Mythos Preview

BT has deployed Anthropic’s Claude Mythos Preview within its cybersecurity operations after joining Project Glasswing, a programme focused on helping critical infrastructure providers identify and address vulnerabilities more quickly. The frontier AI model is designed to process large volumes of network telemetry, ingest security alerts, correlate events across network nodes and generate natural-language summaries for incident responders, while operating within secure enterprise controls.

The deployment complements BT’s existing machine-learning security systems and broader efforts to accelerate cyber defence capabilities, including its collaboration with Accenture on AI-powered security operations. Claude Mythos Preview helps security teams evaluate suspicious activity, identify potential vulnerabilities and prioritise incidents that require human attention, reducing the burden of sorting through thousands of daily alerts.

For customers, the technology has the potential to speed threat detection and incident response while strengthening the resilience of critical communications infrastructure.
