McDonald's is ushering in the 2026 fall season with the launch of new Caramel Apple Pie Coffees. And best of all, you don't have to wait until September to try them.
Available now for a limited time, the new Caramel Apple Pie Coffees come in three different iterations. First up is the Caramel Apple Pie Frappe, which features a Caramel Coffee Frappe Base blended with ice and caramel apple pie-flavored syrup, along with salted caramel-flavored whipped cream and an apple pie crumble on top. Next up is the Caramel Apple Pie Latte, which can be enjoyed hot or iced and combines espresso with whole milk and caramel apple pie-flavored syrup, all topped with salted caramel-flavored whipped cream and an apple pie crumble topping. Lastly, there's the Caramel Apple Iced Coffee, which blends coffee and light cream with caramel apple pie-flavored syrup, and the same salted caramel-flavored whipped cream and an apple pie crumble topping

Key Themes Behind This Trend
- Dessert-inspired Coffees
- Seasonal beverages that translate familiar bakery flavors into coffee formats create room for premium add-ons, limited-time menus, and cross-category flavor experimentation.
- Early Seasonal Launches
- Releasing fall-themed products before the traditional season builds anticipation and gives brands a longer window to capture occasion-based spending.
- Textured Beverage Toppings
- Crumble garnishes, flavored whipped creams, and layered finishes bring snack-like sensory appeal to drinks while supporting higher perceived value.
Where This Applies
- Quick-service Restaurants
- Fast-food chains can use specialty beverages to expand beyond core meals and strengthen traffic during non-peak dining occasions.
- Coffee and Beverage
- Flavor-led menu innovation in coffee creates opportunities for hybrid products that compete with desserts, snacks, and café indulgences.
- Foodservice Supply
- Demand for syrups, toppings, and seasonal inclusions supports new ingredient systems designed for speed, consistency, and scalable customization.
