Thunderbolt 5 Desktop Docks

CalDigit's TS5 Is an Improved Successor to the TS4

CalDigit has introduced its latest Thunderbolt 5 docking stations, the TS5 and TS5 Plus, designed to enhance connectivity and performance for Mac and PC users. The TS5 features 15 ports, including four Thunderbolt 5 connections, USB-A and USB-C ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and a 2.5Gb Ethernet port. It supports dual 6K displays and offers 140W host charging, making it suitable for power-intensive devices like Apple's 16-inch MacBook Pro. The TS5 Plus expands on this with 20 ports, including dual USB controllers for improved bandwidth and a 10Gb Ethernet port for faster network speeds. Both models leverage Thunderbolt 5 technology, providing up to 120Gb/s bandwidth for high-speed workflows and multi-display setups.

The TS5 and TS5 Plus are set to launch in North America and Europe between April and June 2025. The TS5 will be priced at $369.99 in the U.S. and €350 in Europe, while the TS5 Plus will cost $499.99 and €469, respectively. These docking stations aim to cater to professionals requiring robust connectivity solutions, offering support for high-resolution monitors, fast data transfer rates, and extensive charging capabilities. CalDigit's focus on performance and versatility positions the TS5 series as a significant upgrade over its predecessors, such as the TS4.
