Gucci's New iPhone Cases Intentionally Look Fake

Gucci is known for its iconic name, logo and luxe accessories, but has recently released a line of bootleg phone cases.

The designer bootleg phone cases spell out "GUCCY" and are made from a premium leather material that comes from Italy. It comes in either black or white with metallic gold accents around the entire case. There are tiny gold stars that surround the text and ornate frame motif circles around the corners. The only phone these bootleg phone cases are compatible with are the iPhone 7.

The style and design of Gucci's new bootleg phone cases were inspired by SEGA's nostalgic video games from the 80s. The cases are available on Gucci's online store for $450 each and are delivered in special edition Gucci stamp packaging that mimics invitations to the brand's 2018 Spring/Summer fashion show.
