L Catterton Invests in BloomChic, an Inclusive Digital Fashion Brand

L Catterton is capitalizing on its existing popularity in the plus-size fashion market through a new stake in BloomChic, a digital fashion line for women sizes 10 to 30. BloomChic uses what the firm calls a "data-driven product development approach," which looks for popular hues, designs, and materials while considering various body types. L Catterton has extensive knowledge of the fashion climate and trends and hopes to lend its top consumer insights and operations expertise to BloomChic for growth opportunities.

“There is a very real need for women of all sizes to be and feel seen, uplifted by fashion,” said Freya Hu, BloomChic’s chief product officer. “It is our mission to fulfill this need. We are only at the start of our journey and are incredibly excited about what’s to come.”
