Blok Watches are Designed to Educate Children on How Time Works

'Blok' is a new timepiece-manufacturing company that specializes in making its Blok watches perfect for children and youth. The brand debuted alongside its 'Blok 33 Collection' timepiece that has been ergonomically designed to suit the small wrist of a child. This means the strap is shorter, and the dial is smaller in diameter. However, despite its compact form factor, the Blok 33 watches are educational and inspiring for children.

As opposed to a traditional dial layout with small notches for every minute and large notches for every five minutes, Blok watches break up the time periods into 'Bloks.' There are small Bloks for minutes and larger Bloks for hours. This helps children visualize the difference in time periods. Additionally, the watches feature a rotatable bezel that allows the wearer to quickly set a five, 10, 15, or 30-minute timer simply by rotating to the proper Blok. This helps children stay on track, learn about time, and get an understanding of how people structure their day.
