Almave, the Pernod Ricard-backed non-alcoholic agave spirit, is being imported into the US by González Byass USA, featuring a portfolio that recreates agave character using traditional Tequila distillation techniques without fermentation. The range is presented as agave-based alternatives that retain the plant’s flavor while registering below 0.5% ABV.
The lineup includes Blanco, described as a pure blue agave expression suited to Margaritas and Palomas, and Ámbar, which layers roasted agave, caramel and toasted-wood notes and can be sipped neat over ice. Humo is built from espadín agave that is pit-roasted over wood and volcanic rock near Popocatépetl, giving it a smoky profile for mezcal-style serves.
For consumers, Almave offers cocktail versatility that lets agave-forward serves be made alcohol-free while keeping authentic agave aromas. The González Byass USA import combined with Southern Glazer’s distribution positions the brand to reach more on- and off-premise occasions.
