AI Bird Identifying Devices

The BirdNet Device Recognizes the Songs of Over 6,000 Species

Using the same AI that is used in the BirdNET mobile bird identification app, California-based technologists and entrepreneurs Tim Clark, Sam Pohlenz and Vitalii Parashchak built a prototype that was able to listen 24 / 7 to a backyard soundscape, shared to their popular BirdWeather site.

BirdWeather has over 500 active stations around the globe, and with the BirdWeather PUC, the team is lowering technical barriers to entry with an easy-to-use, portable bird listening platform.

The bird listening device is ready to pre-order on the Kickstarter platform until October 13th 2023. Kickstarter perks include a special Early Bird discount of $199 for BirdWeather PUC with worldwide delivery. Shipping from BirdWeather is due to be expected by December 2023.
