These New Balance Colorways Draw From Budweiser and PBR Packaging

— September 17, 2015 — Fashion
New Balance is on a beer-inspired sneaker kick. After releasing its Real Ale color pack celebrating British beer production, the maker of classic casual shoes has created a new beer-inspired capsule collection based on the beauty of American beer labels.

The beer-inspired shoes come in two models and colorways. The New Balance 997, with its distinctive thick wedge sole, is given a Budweiser makeover. The colorway includes red suede siding and a royal blue mesh upper, with white laces, soles and detailing. The beer-inspired 996 takes its color scheme from Pabst Blue Ribbon -- which is itself no stranger to shoe collaborations, having previously lent its iconic can design to Vans to create the ultimate skater shoes. It has blue, blue-grey and denim elements with brown leather detailing.
