BAIT and 'Astro Boy' Transform Two Reebok Basketball Silhouettes

BAIT is partnering with Reebok and Tezuka Productions’ Astro Boy franchise to create a new series of anime-inspired footwear that takes design cues from the series. The collection focuses on Reebok’s ‘Hurikaze II’ and the ‘Instapump Fury Zone,’ two basketball shoes from the brand’s present and past. The ‘Hurikaze II’ adopts Atom’s main colors of green, black and red and transforms them using a base of cream leather. Red and green are alternated on the right and left side waves and joined with a digital circuit-inspired design on the top.

The ‘Instapump Fury Zone’ takes on more of a technical design through the usage of more circuit-style detailing, but the rest of the shoe has been treated to luminescent material to match the glow-in-the-dark outsole, heel, and tongue.
