New Balance and Up There Join on the 2002R Backyard Legends

New Balance works in collaboration with Australian label Up There on a new iteration of the 2020R sneaker model with the introduction of the Backyard Legends edition. The shoe spotlights the features of athleticism, which is also designed with inspiration drawn from that of a typical Australian backyard barbeque, as referenced by the namesake.

The shoe sets the scene that is described as “A single afternoon might see you playing a few overs of cricket between flipping snags, swatting away mozzies, and coping with relentless humidity — all the while grappling an ice-cold tinny in your spare hand! You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like." In terms of the shoe, it is lightweight with paneling suede materials and has custom shrouds.
