Tech giant Microsoft has announced a new partnership with Babylon Cloud Services -- a company specializing in digital self-care. Together the two companies aim to improve the accessibility and quality of healthcare worldwide by using artificial intelligence technology.
For the first stage of the partnership, Microsoft will begin offering users access to Babylon's health software solution on Microsoft's Azure Marketplace. This means that users will be given access to Babylon's AI-enabled symptom checker and Healthcheck services. According to the company, the collaboration will shift the focus from reactive healthcare measures to proactive by providing patients and clinicians with new tools for managing illness.
“We look forward to bringing our collective expertise and technologies to drive innovation in healthcare and capitalize on the current digital health revolution by improving the personalization, automation, and digitization of the healthcare journey for both clinicians and patients," said Ali Parsa, the Chief Executive of Babylon.
