Not too long after the shipping of Ayaneo's Ayaneo 2, the famed handheld PC manufacturer is back with the release of the 'Ayaneo 2S.' While the Ayaneo 2 used an AMD 6800U processor based on Zen 3 with RDNA 2 graphics, the Ayaneo 2S will come equipped with the all-new AMD Ryzen 7 7840U running on Zen 4 architecture with RDNA 3 graphics. This means the processor will outperform the predecessor in nearly every way while being more power efficient.
The Ayaneo 2S is similar to the 'ASUS ROG Ally' handheld PC, as the custom processor in the Ally is based on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, meaning performance between the two devices will be comparable. However, the Ayaneo 2S is a premium alternative, and it offers upgraded components to justify this price point. For example, the computer features up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 7,500 Mhz, up to 2TB of internal storage, all modern connectivity standards including WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and a massive 50.25 Wh battery for long play sessions.
