Audio-Technica unveiled the 'AT2040USB,' a redesigned version of its AT2040 microphone, now designed for ease of use and plug-and-play functionality. The microphone connects to a computer via a USB-A or USB-C port and offers professional-grade quality without the hassle of a complex setup process.
The AT2040USB is equipped with a number of unique features, such as a built-in pop filter, a soft-touch mute button, and an integrated shock mount that absorbs unwanted vibrations, protecting the microphone feed from unwanted noise. The microphone also features a highly directional hypercardioid pickup pattern that isolates the user's voice, even in rooms with frequent ambient sounds, such as other people in the home cleaning dishes, eating, or any other ambient noise.
The AT2040USB will be available on May 17th at an MSRP of $149.00 USD. The product will be available directly from Audio-Technica and from verified third-party retailers.
