The new ASUS gaming phone could be the most powerful Android device ever created. Last year the company released the ASUS ROG smartphone and this year's edition is a hardware improved version of the first. Several notable improvements were made which include a 6.6-inch display, a new Qualcomm processor and lastly a large battery.
The ASUS gaming phone features an improved display. Last year's model featured a 90Hz refresh rate, and this year the company created an OED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Other improvements to the screen include a more responsive touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The screen will have a default setting at 60Hz, but users can change it so specific apps can run higher rates. This allows the user to maximize performance when needed.
The ASUS ROG second edition is expected to have a September release.
