Recently, it was announced that Apple's iOS 13 will allow users to block unknown callers. This was done in an attempt to block spam calls that often continue to get worse. This new feature would put unknown callers straight to voicemail thanks to Apple's iOS 13's ability to use Siri as a screener for calls from either Contacts, Mail, or Messages. While these calls would ring on the device, all others would be sent to voicemail. This new feature should be available this fall, exclusively on iOS 13.
This new feature comes as a result of the FCC's ruling that will allow carriers to block robotic calls. The organization notes that this is one of the biggest complaints it receives, making up approximately 60% of all complaints.
