AI Discoverability Metrics

Launchmetrics Introduced AI Visibility to Track LLM Presence

Launchmetrics introduced 'AI Visibility' (AIV), a metric that shows how brands are represented in LLM responses and tracks platforms such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini. The metric is designed to sit alongside the company’s existing Media Impact Value (MIV) measures and help brands quantify AI discoverability.

AIV is integrated into Launchmetrics’ event rankings for events like New York Fashion Week, combining a brand’s MIV and AIV scores and showing the share of value from each. The dashboard highlights brands that stand out in AI search, identifies which editorial voices AI cites regarding a brand, and lets teams compare AI search results across cities.

This gives PR and comms teams a clearer view of how earned media shapes AI-generated answers, since editorial coverage carries weight in LLM responses. Brands can use AIV to see what LLMs present about them and reassess budget allocations between SEO and earned media.
