The bride of Peng Yu may be the luckiest women in the world, as she walked down the aisle in a 99,999 pearl wedding dress. Peng conveniently runs a pearl company in the Chinese city of Beihai, and decided on the number 99,999 because it has the same pronunciation as "long-term or forever."
The sewing of 99,999 pearls into a wedding dress was no easy task. The bride-to-be's seven sisters sewed each pearl onto the dress over a period of more than a year. The gown weighs about 20 pounds and is up for a Guinness World Record.
