Top Trends of the Week

From Unique iPad Covers to Manly Motif Wall Decals

The top trends this week were strongly design-focused, including timber iPad covers and similarly striking products.

On the art front, a purposely unsettling sculpture by Adel Abdessemed caught the eye of many readers. Ranging from twisted airplanes to what looks like dirt piles with animals in them, the artist's work is surrealistic and a breath of fresh air. Blown by Julie Randall was another art piece that made waves on the site. Resembling a popped piece of bubble gum, the oddly realistic work was eye-catching and intriguing to viewers.

In terms of fashion this week, unexpectedly dark aesthetics were hugely popular with viewers. In place of floral and pastel editorials, black and white photos dominated throughout the week.
