From Face Paint Runways to Western Patchwork Outerwear

 - Jan 8, 2013
These incredible Christopher Shannon designs point to the impressive rise of the Liverpool native. Shannon is a masters graduate of Central Saint Martins, studies which bled into his receipt of the 2010 autumn/winter NEWGEN MEN award, equipping him with a sizable sponsorship.

Face paint runways and western patchwork outerwear are a part of Shannon's spectacular vision for the menswear scene. He remains on the edge of the industry via his frequent incorporation of floral, feminine motifs and bursts of color. Headgear and hairstyles have been similarly central to his work, accounting in large part for his ginormous confetti hats and bright crowns made of combs. He has at the same time maintained a certain sensibility about his pieces via oxford shirts and blazers.
