Pronto! My name is Katie Pagnotta and I am a 4'11 lover of life. I am obsessed with all things fashion, food, film and the list goes on. I am officially U of T alumni and looking forward to a glorious 4 months at Trend Hunter as a journalism intern.
What is unique that's not in your bio?
I have an affinity for old people. I'm talking 65+.
What's your favorite accomplishment?
My favorite accomplishment is definitely graduating from U of T. Completing any degree pushes you to the limit and receiving that e-mail from the Dean stating, "You have graduated from one of the most distinguished academic institutions in the world" really hits home.
How do you define cool?
I think "cool" is a subjective term that can be interpreted and contorted in a slew of ways. For me, it is anything and everything that inspires me, provokes me to think and whether people, places or things, leaves a lasting impression on me.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
My secret to uncovering trends is to immerse myself in my surroundings.Whether at home or on the streets, I see trends everywhere.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
What I enjoy most about Trend Hunter is that it is a dynamic space that encourages my creativity.
What is your favorite trend?
At the moment, my favorite trend is staging meticulously decorated rooms. I have a collection of home magazines stacked beside my bed and I am addicted.
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
Have fun, be creative and always write something that you would want to read.
How do you reset to be creative?
I am a firm believer that when you are in a funk, spice things up. It can be as miniscule as changing your nail polish color or listening to a different song, but it definitely recharges you and your creativity.
What inspires or excites you?
People watching, family, the outdoors, friends, fashion, movies, travel, art, music, books, magazines, food, make-up, decor, photographs, television, sports...this list could literally be never-ending.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
The introduction of The Real Housewives of Mars on Bravo, NASA meets reality t.v. and I would totally watch it.
