MSI's Latest RTX 4090 Aero S Uses a Single Large Blower-Style Fan

The RTX 4090 Aero S from MSI is a graphics card that features the flagship NVIDIA Ada GPU with 16384 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory. It has a base clock of 2235 MHz and a boost clock of 2520 MHz, and supports PCIe 4.0 x16 interface, DirectX 12 Ultimate, and ray tracing. The card has a blower-type cooling design that is suitable for workstations and servers, as it can efficiently exhaust hot air out of the system. The card also has a dual-slot form factor, a matte black finish, and a 16-pin power connector.

The RTX 4090 Aero S from MSI is one of the few RTX 4090 models that use a blower fan, along with Gigabyte’s Turbo, AFOX Blower, and some Chinese brands. The card is said to be available in China since July 2023, but there is no official word on its pricing or global availability. However, blower-type cards are usually cheaper than axial-fan cards, so we can expect the RTX 4090 Aero S to be more affordable than other custom variants. The RTX 4090 is also a great alternative to the RTX 6000 series for users who need high-performance AI and compute capabilities.
