Amazon Announced the 'Ring Car Cam' at CES 2023

Amazon unveiled a new 'Ring Car Cam' at CES 2023, marking the first time the company has ventured into the dashboard camera category. The ‘Ring Car Cam’ records using dual-facing high-definition wide-angle cameras that are equipped with night vision for late-night driving and break-in prevention. Through the Ring app, consumers can monitor their trips and vehicle using the device’s real-time notifications, video feed, microphone, and two-way talk capability. The camera also comes with a cover for privacy purposes that blocks the camera and the microphone.

In addition to on-demand video recording, the ‘Ring Car Cam’ comes with a subscription plan called the ‘Ring Protect Go,’ which adds LTE connectivity. Users can save film events for up to 180 days in the device’s cloud storage and also utilize its ‘Traffic Stop’ feature to record during stops or after traffic incidents.
