This AI-Powered Robot Boasts a Highly Versatile Robotic Arm

Luwu Intelligent Technology, a company that was spun off from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China, has created an innovative quadruped robot that eschews the ways of the majority of existing robotic dogs thanks to its relatively miniature stature which qualifies it for 'desktop-size' status.

The 'XGO 2' quadruped robot is an open-source creation that comes powered by a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 processor and works in conjunction with a number of programming languages including Python.

Perhaps the most impressive element of this particular quadruped robot is its robotic arm, which boasts three degrees of freedom and is more than capable of picking up, carrying and moving a variety of objects. The robot is equipped with an array of futuristic technologies including AI-guided voice and gesture recognition, as well as versatile movement capabilities including walking, trotting and 'high walking' in all directions.

Currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, the 'XGO 2' quadruped robot is available in a standard 'Mini' model that can be obtained for a pledge of $749 and a smaller 'Lite' version that will set you back $449.
